Otis is the only child of two sex therapists, Jean and Remy. After his parents divorce, he is brought up by his mother. She grows up listening to her therapy sessions through the holes in the floor of her room. This overabundance of information about other people's sex lives, combined with the early trauma of her father's departure (who had betrayed Jean to one of her patients), has left Otis struggling with a phobia about her own sexuality. Despite her amazing intuition regarding bed matters, she has no experience in this matter. His vast knowledge of human sexuality is both his super power and his kryptonite. Everything changes when Otis gets Maeve's attention, which will change his view of sex forever.
